Sen. John Kennedy Slams the "Endless Frontiers Act"
Senator John N. Kennedy, R-La., slammed the Endless Frontiers Act as a bloated, somewhat misrepresented piece of legislation its proponents say will help the U.S. be more competitive with China in the manufacturing and technology spaces.
Sponsored by Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., the bill would establish a directorate at the National Science Foundation (NSF) for "technology and innovation", among other directives – but Kennedy warned "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that it is a $130-billion-and-counting boondoggle.
Of its 13 co-sponsors, about half are Republicans, including Mitt Romney of Utah, Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Steve Daines of Montana.
GOP Sen. Kennedy: Biden Louisiana Trip to Say ‘I’m the Candy Man and I’ve Got More Free Stuff for You’
“I don’t have a lot of details,” Kennedy said of the visit. “It’s always an honor when a president visits your state. I’m sure the president’s coming in to say I’m the candy man, and I’ve got more free stuff for you. The problem is that there’s nothing free. Anything free somebody had to work for. The president’s plan is not an infrastructure plan. Only 5 percent of it goes to infrastructure. It’s really a Green New Deal and welfare plan, and it’s a mess. It looks like somebody — somebody knocked over a urine sample. Now, we can fix it if we stick to, A, infrastructure, and B, we have serious discussions about how to pay for it. I can tell you how we can pay for it.”

Louisiana Has a "Stay At Home" Order, But Baby-Killing is Considered "Essential" I Guess
Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy has called for abortion clinics in the state to be closed during this time of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Doctors and nurses are in the trenches fighting the coronavirus, and we’re in a zero-sum reality when it comes to life-saving medical supplies,” he said.
“Abortions are elective, deadly and wrong—especially when they siphon masks, gloves and cleaning supplies away from the front lines of a pandemic,” Kennedy added. “I urge elected officials everywhere to recognize that abortions are in no way an essential service.”

KENNEDY: Someone needs to tell AOC the voices in her head aren’t real
Our own Senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy, had the following to say recently regarding the buffoon and clown from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her claims regarding illegal immigrants:
“Let me be frank. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez...someone needs to tell her that the voices in her head are not real. She says that the men and women of our border patrol and our authorities are intentionally running concentration camps on the southern border. She needs to go to the Holocaust Museum and see what a concentration camp is. The problem we’re having at the border, a problem that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has helped create is that we have 5,000 people a day, not a week, not a month, a day coming into this country. And we don’t have a place to put them. The Department of Homeland Security is out of money and the congresswoman knows that. She says the conditions are inhumane. But yet, when we send a bill over to her to vote to improve those conditions, she voted no. Her hypocrisy is breathtaking. This is the bottom line. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez believes that illegal immigration is a moral good. And she believes that the border is just a nuisance and it should be open; and, I don’t think that’s what America believes.”

Kennedy and Landry Team Up to Elect Conservative Republicans

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — U.S. Sen. John Kennedy is adding his prodigious fundraising talents to a political organization aimed at electing more conservative Republicans to the Louisiana Legislature, joining Attorney General Jeff Landry in the effort.
With both Kennedy and Landry in leadership roles, the Louisiana Committee for a Conservative Majority has unified the state’s top two GOP standard-bearers in its work to shift the Legislature rightward, particularly as term limits will keep many of the longer serving Republican moderates in the state Senate from running for re-election this fall.

Sen. Kennedy Discusses Prescription Drug Prices
Sen John Kennedy of Louisiana recently discussed prescription drug prices in America:
I’m working to lower the cost of prescription drugs. It’s an embarrassment when the average American pays twice what someone in Canada or Great Britain or Switzerland pays for the same identical drug by the same identical manufacturer.
Sen. Kennedy Joins Legislation To Keep Health Care Costs Down and Protect Patients
Feb 14, 2019
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) today joined S.172,the Health Insurance Tax Relief Act of 2019, to keep health care costs down for families across Louisiana by delaying the implementation of the Affordable Care Act’s Health Insurance Tax. This punitive tax – if it is allowed to take effect - would increase costs for everyone from senior citizens to small businesses.
Sen. Kennedy also joined S.283, which would increase access to osteoporosis screenings for Medicare patients. Medicare reimbursement for these screenings has shrunk, resulting in an increase in hip fractures.
“Obamacare sucks, and the Health Insurance Tax really sucks. It would create $16 billion in additional fees on health insurance and send premiums through the roof. Health care is expensive enough without this ridiculous tax,” said Sen. Kennedy. “It’s also ridiculous to discourage health screenings that literally save lives. By testing for osteoporosis, we can prevent possibly fatal falls.”

Sen. Kennedy Discusses Shutdown and Border Wall Funding

Per Sen. John Kennedy, R-Louisiana, “right now Speaker Pelosi is running the show, and she makes no distinction between legal and illegal immigration. And if you disagree with her, then you’re a racist. I think that’s a very unreasonable position that the majority of the American people don’t support because they’re too smart to support it.
