In calling Rispone out, it's clear that Moon has not forgiven him for his campaign's treatment of former U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham in the last governor's race.

Governor Edwards and his campaign are working to drive Louisianans further apart, stoking fear and racial tensions for his personal benefit.

The door-hanger below is being distributed by John Bel Edwards supporters in communities across Louisiana:

That's right. Your Governor just called YOU a racist because you support President Donald Trump.

It is absurd for John Bel Edwards to attempt to link Eddie Rispone to a Ku Klux Klan member when historical records make it clear that the Edwards family has been racist for generations. From slavery, through segregation the Edwards clan has been taking advantage of black people in Louisiana for their personal benefit since Louisiana was born.

John Bel is just the latest Edwards to follow in this "family tradition".

Even with the history of the Edwards Family, Team JBE is doubling down on their race card strategy with a new radio advertisement that accompanies the door hanger pictured above. The radio ad claims all Trump and Rispone supporters are racist and attempts to scare black voters into supporting John Bel Edwards.

President Trump Reminds Louisiana to Vote Early for Eddie Rispone

Louisiana attorney general wades into the governor's race

Landry's name isn't listed on the paperwork for the Make Louisiana Great Again PAC filed with Louisiana's ethics administration office. But Landry's political consultant Brent Littlefield confirmed Thursday the attorney general is behind the effort, which hasn't yet filed information about its donors.

The PAC launched a 30-second statewide TV ad ahead of the Nov. 16 runoff election that slams Edwards on the bipartisan criminal sentencing law rewrite he championed, suggesting it damaged public safety.

After Rispone Decided to Go After Fellow Republican, Cajun Conservatism Endorses Ralph Abraham

In what has to be the absolute dumbest political move in the governor’s race thus far, Eddie Rispone’s campaign has decided to go the way of Jay Dardenne and Scott Angelle in the last election and attack a fellow Republican candidate. A piece that started running on television yesterday goes after Congressman Ralph Abraham on what can only be described as total irrelevant issues.

As a result, Cajun Conservatism will publicly endorse Ralph Abraham for governor. Congressman Abraham is a proven conservative with a record that reflects such.

Rispone should immediately pull the ad and issue a statement repudiating it. If not, it will only show that he is in bed with the Edwards campaign.

Eddie Stands with President Trump

In the video, Rispone says he will work with President Trump to protect our constitutional rights, ban sanctuary cities, and end taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants in Louisiana. 

Rispone added on the announcement, “I am proud to stand with President Trump. I have been unequivocally supportive of the President since day one, and will proudly work with him as governor to defend our constitution and secure our borders. Louisiana needs someone like President Trump—a conservative, outsider, and businessman—to take on the status quo and turn this state around.”
