On Sunday, October 16, former Congressman Clyde Holloway, who was serving as Public Service Commissioner since his election in 2009, passed away at his home at the age of 72. Holloway, who was a leader in the shift to Republican prominence in Louisiana, was known as a public servant who loved his state.
PSC Commissioner Eric Skrmetta said in a public statement on Monday that Holloway was "a true public servant with a long and storied career. He loved Louisiana and tried to do what was right at all times."
