Jeff Landry, Louisina Attorney General, issued the below release via Facebook today regarding Biden’s executive order related to the Keystone Pipeline.
BREAKING: I HAVE JOINED 21 OTHER STATES IN A LAWSUIT AGAINST THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION FOR CANCELING THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE. In the blink of an eye Joe Biden has unleashed a flood of action to destroy our oil and gas industry, raise gas prices, and harm thousands of energy jobs. The Biden Keystone order not only violates federal law and Constitutional safeguards, but also threatens jobs, our state and local economies, and even the environment he purports to want to protect. It should concern every person that the price of gas started going up the day he picked up his pen and began threatening financial stability for the hard-working people of Louisiana. Just as I have done since first being elected to public office, including when I sat in Congress reminding then President Obama that DRILLING=JOBS, I will not back down against illegal and misguided attempts by the Biden Administration to harm our energy jobs.
